The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
